SWAMI Says, Flashing Lights, Future Connections, Celeb Status [ZIB]

Friends, lately I have been doing some serious self-editing. For some odd reason, I get the urge to chime in with other folk who release to the world (via keyboard) snide opinions, remarks, views...whatever you want to call it, on social networking sites.  This 'desire' usually occurs when I watch reality shows or read snippy status updates. Well, no more people! Self-editing is officially in full force. As much as it pains me to keep my fingers on pause, I must not fall for it. After all, I am building a brand. A global brand -- synonymous with humor, integrity, and an insurmountable amount of lighthearted energy. That is all. Good-bye!

This just in: This darn blog of mine has been viewed by folks residing in 92 countries around the world! This includes views by people residing in 50 North American states!
Hello America. Hello World.
I do love making new friends. Yay. Good-bye.

Oh wait! The self-editing advice was giving to me a couple of years ago by one of my fabulous twitter friends AtlantaJJ - this post is dedicated to her, check her out -- she's on Twitter!
Good-bye...again.

SWAMI Says, Corporate Sponsors, Big Screen, and Flashing Lights - ZIB

NEW SERIES ALERT!

Welcome to the first installment of

SWAMI Says 'Insert Title Here' - ZIB (ZIB = Zip It BlacBlouse).

This series is created to help me NOT to speak out loud (in Internet land or any other place for that matter) about the ridiculousness I come across in my day to day activities.

Friends, today I spotted something interesting that just didn't settle well in my bones.  Now naturally, those who have been following this dear sweet blog are well aware of it's intent -- always publish lighthearted and inspiring posts.  So, in an effort to maintain the mission of lightheartedness I give you a little number which first aired in a 1946 live action animated Disney movie entitled 'Song of the South' --
Listen and Love the song, Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah, sung by James Baskett.

Thought Bubble: Twitter

The Story: Sometimes I don't feel like tweeting. If I bring this thought into action (which I won't), I'll probably start by gradually reducing tweet updates followed by ending the account all together. I've done it before.  Most importantly, I'll have to fight the urge to go back. Alas, it's just a thought. Twitter is addictive!

Conversations: Unemployment - Head on Fire

Follow my blog with bloglovin

The Associated Press -- Washington. "President Barack Obama is thanking senators for acting to restore unemployment benefits to 2.5 million people who began losing their checks weeks ago."

A close family member has been in my ear for a good month discussing with extreme intensity on how the holdout has placed a financial strain on their family. I understand wholeheartedly. However, the conversation always leaves me with the side of my head feeling like it's on fire. So my friends, I'm pleased to read of this news reported from the good people working at The Associated Press. My mood is calm and all is well in my world -- for the moment.
